Arrival Story:
Max had been adopted from the local humane society when he was just 10 weeks old. As he was a rescue, the humane society "guessed" that he was a sheltie cross. His first parents loved him very much, but they ended their relationship and neither of them could keep him, so his "first mom" sent an email saying "looking for a good home". I was finally ready to adopt a dog, and he looked so cute (and mischievious!). I was "interviewed" and ultimately chosen to become Max's new mom. I brought Max home when he was 7 months old and we have built a great relationship. Needless to say, shortly after I adopted him, it became apparent that he is NOT a Sheltie, but a Border Collie cross (with Lab Retriever and who knows what else). Max is my first dog and it has been such an adventure being his "Mama". He is my "fur-baby".
