Arrival Story:
My boyfriend and I were looking for a dog for almost a year, we knew we wanted to adopt a dog because both of us had dogs that were adopted growing up. I'm used to the large breeds (Alaskan Malamute or Rottweiler size) Where as he is used to the smaller breeds (Blue Heeler or Beagle) So we did a lot of research on breeds that would mesh well with our personality's instead. And we decided on the medium to large sized hounds. After months of searching we came a crossed a profile on Pet Finder. And it was love at first site. After several emails back and forth with Helping Paws Rescue, we drove 3 1/2 hours to meet Miss Daisy Mae. Tonnes of puppy kisses later Daisy decided she'd be happy with coming home with us.
