Arrival Story:
My husband and I had been thinking about getting a dog and had been looking online at shelters in our area. Wekept leaning toward boxer/pitt mixes. Then one weekend when I was home visiting my parents, my mom and I went to a PetsMart and she mentioned it was pet adoption day. She said she didn't think there were any dogs in there like what I was looking for. I decided to take a look anyway and I fell for a beautiful girl named Annie. Turns out she had actually been in a shelter pretty much her whole life (10 months) except for 2 trips out to people'shomes. One person gave her back quickly due to allergies and the other person kept her for a little while then brought her back. I called my husband and one week later we brought her into our home. We changed her name to Dixie and she has been with us ever since.
