I'M DOG OF THE DAY!

On October 24 I woke up to a wonderful surprise, I was given the honor of being DOG OF THE DAY!! I can't think of a better way to start off the day...Thank You Dogster for giving me the honor!

I have been on Dogster for a little more then two years and have made some wonderful friends. Everyone on here is so kind and loving and so supportive, especially when a pup needs help or paw prayers. I think if the whole world were like the majority of the people that are on here... what a wonderful world it would truly be.

I want to give a special thanks for all the wonderful well wishes and gifts to each and everyone of you. Thank you, for making this a very very special day. I sure did enjoy my rein!

INTERNATIONAL HOMELESS ANIMALS DAY

August 21, 2010 marks the 19th Annual International Homeless Animals Day. In an effort to raise awareness about the extreme overpopulation affecting animal shelters, The International Society for Animal Rights (ISAR)will hold events and candlelight vigils across the world in honor of those animals that have lost their lives due to overpopulation.

Every year more than 4.5 million dogs and cats die in local animal shelters due to a lack of space. For the past 19 years, organizations such as ISAR have promoted new ideas and efforts to maintain the pet population with spay and neuter programs. One of the kindest acts people can perform to save the lives of animals is to spay or neuter their pet, which prevents homeless animals from ever being born in the first place.

From a simple spread of the message, to attending fundraisers for shelters to help keep their spay/neuter programs thriving, we all can help the cause in keeping shelter populations at a minimum.

I Have A New FurSister!

I was so excited when mommy came home Sunday and surprised me with a new FurSister! I think I got to excited with all the barking and jumping around in circles because Gigi ran back into her carrier and wouldn't come out. So mommy told me to sit quietly and wait for her to come back out so I could get a good sniff. I waited and waited and waited, and cried and she still wouldn't come out and play with me.

After awhile mommy picked her up and sat on the floor with us. Well I ruined it again, I couldn't help it...I barked and barked and it just scared her even more. She sure is a tiny little pup and so afraid of everything! But she wasn't afraid to take over my bed and my big rawhide bone! Bol!
