Arrival Story:
Pudo spent his first three years in Hawaii. The first couple of years were in a high-rise condo. Then, he was sold to a lady who kept him in a crate. He was taken out once a day for a walk. He was not taken care of properly. His hair grew and grew until it reached the ground. It became very matted. A lady vacationing in Hawaii saw Pudo and she got him from the lady who kept him in a crate. The rescuer lady took him to a vet, had his hair shaved off to his skin, and brought him back to the mainland. She left him outside all the time--and it was January. Pudo began hanging-out at a neighbor's house. The neighbor lady loved the little guy. The rescuer lady told the neighbor lady, "Take him. He's yours."

"Pudo" is a contraction for poodle dog. When Pudo was a puppy, people in Hawaii thought he was a poodle and they called him "poo-doh". His owners kept the name and spelled it Pudo. After Pudo came to the mainland he became best buddies with an Australian shepherd, Zak. One day Zak and Pudo were playing and suddenly Pudo's left eye bulged right out of his head. The vet said that Pudo had hit his head very hard. Pudo had to have his left eyelids sewn together and have medicine dropped twice a day into a little slit that the vet made. After many weeks the vet opened Pudo's eyelids and said that he has very limited sight in his eye. Limited sight has not stopped Pudo one bit. He is a very lively, energetic, active little dog whose philosophy of life is "everybody likes me".

No problem. I have other options.

The Last Forum I Posted In:

Pudo does not like men who wear baseball caps. Don't know why. He thinks it's fine for women to wear baseball caps, but he'll lunge and bark like mad when he sees a man in one.
