Hello everyone! Did you thank a veteran on Wednesday? I was sure to give my grampa a big ol' wet kiss when he came over. Without his help, who knows what the state of the country would be in!
On the same day of that big ol' wet kiss, it was mom's birthday! When she got home from work, they had yummy fish fillets and a glorious chocolate pie! Mom didn't give me any of it, but she did let me sniff all the stuff she pulled out of boxes, including a pro-grade tripod for her camera and shirts and a hoodie! Those smelled yummy! After that, I was sure to give HER plenty of big ol' kisses, too. DEEELISH!
So you know how I was complaining about it being so dark out now when mom gets home from work? I mean, that means no outside play time! Well, mom figured out a way to continue to give us the exercise we need. LED blinkers! Gah! Mom loves them. She twists them on and clips them right to our collar. They blink nice and bright and she feels so safe out on our walks now. She swears that because of those lights, cars have been able to avoid us completely, when they might not have otherwise. Mom hated trying to handle a flashlight and two dogs at the same time, and now she doesn't have to. Do you have blinkers on your collars? Mom highly, highly recommends them!
I guess the next holiday is Thanksgiving. That means FOOD! Look at all that yummy food mom added to my page. I'm drooling already...BOL! Hope you enjoy your time until then!
Until next time, go cuddle with your pup! And keep trying to adjust to the time change to make your pup more comfortable!

Did everyone have a happy and safe Halloween? I hope so! I sure did. Mom's little nieces and nephews came over and she was a little worried about how I'd be since they were all in costume, but I did so good! I knew who all of them were and gave each of them a big ol' kiss. Mom went with them on their hay ride around the neighborhood so I was with gramma for a couple of hours, but you know what? We didn't have any trick-or-treaters! So I had a nice, quiet night.
When some of the nieces came back later in the night, though, they brought a friend and I had no idea who she was. I was OK around her, but I was still a little weary. Are any of my dog pals weary around new people who come in the house? This girl was sticking her face in my face and I was wagging my tail while sniffing her face, but then I stopped wagging my tail. Mom was quick to respond and as soon as she said my name, I just walked away from her and toward mom. 27 was being good though, but mom doesn't like when people just don't know how to respond around new dogs! Mom wants to know...is it normal to be weary like that? She knows we can pick up on how she feels, so she definitely stays calm. She just gets scared that the ONE time I or 27 gets spooked by someone new and reacts negatively, well...it just won't turn out well. Is that a normal feeling...? Any comments would help mom a lot.
How does everyone like the time change? Mom hates it. I don't think I like it, either. It used to be dark on our morning walks, now it's dark on our nighttime walks! Plus it's dark after we eat dinner, which is our playtime outside! So we have to play quick before it gets too dark to see. Not as fun, but fun nonetheless!
Thanksgiving is coming! YUM! But we all have to be sure not to forget Veterans Day. Mom's dad is a veteran! And her grampa was, too! And her great-grampa, too! If it weren't for them, who KNOWS what the United States would be like today. So in the days leading up to the 11th, please thank a veteran! Tell them Rocket sent you!
Until next time, go cuddle with your pup! And help them adjust to the time change!

Hi everyone!!! Happy October! Happy Almost Halloween!
I hope you like what I've done with the place. Except...since mom hasn't renewed Plus, when she changed the decorations, my music went away. Another downside. I might need to get mom to renew, since...well...here's some news...the deal with our house fell through. I don't know all the details, but mom kept saying something about a co-signer and not getting financing without one. And not wanting that over her head. Who knows...all I know is that we are staying here and I'm OK with that! I like living with my gramma and grampa! And my great-gramma! I always get to be around someone...even when mom is at work!
So, with talk of a house gone, mom is talking about buying something new! Like...ready...? A new car! Something about how she needs one anyway, but it'll also really help with building her credit? I have no idea what that means...but...apparently mom needs some more credit to buy a house? Anyway...I need to stop talking about something I have no idea about! BOL!
For something I do know a little bit about - mom taught me a new trick! She tried to teach it to 27, too, but he doesn't do it well. I caught on real quick and I've had lots of yummy treats since then, like mom's pork from dinner! BOL! Ready to hear what the trick is?
When mom tells me "pet", I pet 27! That's right! Mom has him lay down next to me, and I sit. Then she says "pet" and I put my paw on his head! Mom says it's the cutest thing ever! I personally think I'm the cutest thing ever...but whatever. As long as the treats keep coming, mom can say whatever she wants. BOL!
Speaking of mom - she's gone worldwide! That's right! Mom started her photography website! Wanna see???

Mom worked hard on it. And I got to be on it! Can you find me!? I hope you enjoy the site. She's looking forward to what it brings her!
Well I guess I should talk about Halloween now, huh? Honestly, I have no idea what I'm going to be yet, if anything. Mom told me about taking me to a Halloween event downtown. I remember it from last year, but I was a lot younger then, so she's a little worried about how I'll act. She told me she is leaving 27 home, in hopes that I'll be friendlier to the hundreds of people that will be there. I like people...I think I'll be fine. I'll really only be looking for all the candy that the little kids drop on the ground anyway. BOL!
I'll keep everyone updated with my Halloween costume and the new car.
Until next time, go cuddle with your pup! And have a fun and safe Halloween!
