Arrival Story:
I grew up with dogs. I love dogs. I married a wonderful man who is afraid of dogs - he was attacked as a child. After years of my whining, he finally broke down and said I could get a dog - on the condition that he picked it. We went from pound to pound and he vetoed every pooch. I, of course, wanted every single one of them! We happened to visit my boss & his wife. She is very into Australian Shepherds. My husband had met her male, full-grown dogs before, but hadn't shown a lot of interest. As luck would have it, she had just gotten the cutest little female puppy. My husband said, "if we could find a dog like this, I'd take it in a second." She proudly informed my husband that there was still one puppy left in that litter! A week later we had ourselves a cute little furball - Tigua!

Bio:
Tigua is the most stubborn, hardheaded, smart little girl. She is getting older, but she doesn't know it. She plays very hard. Tigua recently encountered a cougar on a camping trip. She started pawing at the ground like a bull ready to charge and ripped up her pads - I'm happy to report she has recovered! Tig loves to get into the garbage at night. We installed baby locks on our cupboards, but the knothead figured out how to open them! So now we rubberband our cupboard knobs together. Tigua is a big goofball that just wants to play, play, play. She pounces on her sister Desi every chance she gets. September 9, 2005 Tigua passed away today. We do not know why - she has had allergic reactions in the past and the vet wonders if she was bitten by an insect because she was a very healthy girl. We will miss our beautiful girl with all of our hearts.
