Pit Poem:
You made me what I am today, courage at its best. You wanted me to know no fear, a cut above the rest. Not only did I master that, I've thrown in loyalty, too. Look past my eyes into my soul, you know I'd die for you. I'll watch your kids, I'll watch your house. Your praise will be my crown, ask what you will-I'll do my best. I'll even be your clown. But some of you don't like me, I'm sure I don't know why. The only thing I'm guilty of is courage, love, and try. But still they want to see me go, they want my breed to end. Will I see you sitting idly by? You, whom I call a friend? You made me what I am today, you never saw me waiver. I've done my best to keep you safe. Won't you please return the favor. ~ American Pit Bull Terrier ~ -Author Unknown

My new big sister

My new BIG sister...

Just a couple of weeks ago I was minding my own business, being my usual "Daddys boy" self when all of a sudden this lady shows up with a beautiful APBT/Boxer mix named Daisy. I fell in love with her instantly although she's twice my size and a lot older. I enjoyed her visit and treated her like royalty.
Everything was great and then i found out that she would be staying awhile until daddy could find her a home. I started getting a little jealous of this new intruder because she was taking some of daddys attention and THAT IS MINE!
Well, it didn't take but a couple of days until daddy found this nice older couple to take Daisy in. Things went back to normal and i was back to having all daddys attention again.
As it turns out, things didn't work out with her new home and she just came back here a couple of days ago. To top it off, now daddy's talking about keeping her, because it's just not right for a girl this old to have to keep re-adjusting to new homes and new people.
I was still jealous the first day, but i'm learning to accept that she is going to be part of our family and daddy has enough love for us both, along with my other little sister, three cat brothers and my buddy the ferret.
I think i'll just accept her and love her. She's even started to perk up and play with me some. She doesn't like toys so she leaves mine alone, even when i bring them to her to show that i've accepted her into our family. I think she'll be a fine addition to our pack.
