It's 2007!!!

I can hardly believe it is 2007 and Chistmas came and went. It was a lot of fun and I got some great new toys. Now I'm looking forward to Valentine's Day which is just around the corner. I hope every pup is having a good new year so far, and staying warm! I've been doing good even though I had to go to the vet recently, I had a watery eye problem. The doctor gave me some drops which cleared it up, but I sure hated mommy putting those in my eyes. She would try to sneak them in but I would always know what was about to happen and give her a good fight. I really don't like my eyes or ears messed with!!! WOOF~

It's my birthday!

Today is my birthday (7/23/06) and I turned 2 years old! I can hardly believe I'm 2 already. It seems like I was just a baby not too long ago, and now I'm all grown up and quite mature. My mommy says I'm a very good boy and I listen most all the time. I hardly ever get into trouble any more. I know better than to get into things I shouldn't like the trash, plants, or tear up paper, etc. Besides, it's usually Mimi or Maggie getting into things these days!

I had a really fun birthday - I got a KONG which I'm really excited about, it's so much fun. I had chicken for dinner and so many extra treats since it was my birthday. I had my picture taken which I didn't really care about, I'm not one for posing.

It's also Maggie's birthday, she turned 1 the same day I turned 2. We aren't related so it's pretty neat that we have the same birthday. I hope all of you have as good of a birthday as what I (we) had!

I love the warm weather!

Here it is mid-May and I'm so happy that it's spring time and the weather is warm. I just love to go outside this time of the year, it's not too hot yet and it's so nice out side. I wait for my moments to go out to play. My mom leaves the windows open too, I like that because I can look out better to see and hear everything that's going on out there. I sit by the windown sometimes for hours just watching everything. I love when I get to go for walks the best, it's so much fun for me. It's been a little hectic trying to do that much lately though since we have the new puppy Mimi living with us, but mommy still manages to take me out. Mimi can't go for walks yet because she doesn't have all of her shots.

Speaking of shots.... I went with Mimi recently to the vet office so she could get her second series of shots and boy was I mad... I also got 2 shots!! I had no idea I was going along to get shots, I thought I was going to have some fun seeing other dogs and to get out of the house for a while. I was pretty mad to get them, they really hurt and they made me cry! Mommy told me I had to get them in order to keep me healthy but that was not fun. I'm sure glad I don't go back for those for quite a while again!

Being groomed isn't so bad...

Mom says she is so proud of me because I don't fight being brushed any more like I used to. In fact, I sort of like it now. I acually cooperate and don't try to bite the brush like I used to do. I still don't really like going to the groomers even though they always say I'm a good boy there. Mom said maybe I won't have to go quite as often if I keep being good and allowing her to brush me more often to keep my fur from getting knots in it. The last time I went to the groomers in December, they really had to shave me and I hated that because I got cold with barely any fur.

I'll tell you what I really do like, and that's having my teeth brushed. I don't know why I like this, but I do! I beg at the bathroom cabinet where my tooth brush is at -- I scrath at the door until my mom gets it out. I open my mouth and just love when mom brushes my teeth. I admit I like the beef flavored tooth paste, but I also like my teeth being clean! I don't ever want to get a cavity! :)
