My dear pupster pals. It was warm today and Mom made us go outside for the afternoon. Then she said, “Do either of you kids want to go bye-bye?” Well, you don’t have to ask me twice. We went to get gas, and stopped to get Mom something to drink, then Mom stopped at a very special place. Do you know what it is called? DAIRY QUEEN – AROOOOH! I was hoping and praying, but she came back with a sack. My hopes had been dashed. Mom gets in the car and there is the smell. You know, the one of milk bones starting to get soggy. Way to go Mom – PUPPY CUPS!!!!! Mom even let us eat them in the car. We were very careful to not drop one drop of that ice cream. And those soggy milk bones – heaven, heaven I tell you. Mom, I hope there are more Puppy Cups to come, summer is just starting.

Today is so special. It’s my Birthday. I am now 9 years old. I can’t call Mallory “the old lady“ any more, cuz now we are the same age. But all you pupsters know how sensitive women are about their age! BOL! The day started off as usual, Mom got up and said, “I have to go to work today.” I was glad, the last 3 days she had Mallory & me outside helping with yard work and putting the garden it. I can hardly wait for the cukes, but that is another story for another day. I got up in the middle of the bed while Mom was getting ready for work. She turned to me and said, “Happy Birthday loverboy!” I love it when she calls me loverboy. Then she gave me kisses and a bellyrub. I stayed on the bed and slept until Mom got home. Guess what she brought me, not for Mallory and not for me to share with Mallory, but just for me. Did you guess? She brought me chicken. I know it isn’t really on my diet, but hey a pupster only has one birthday a year and I have learned I am worth it. Mom is always brings stuff home for me and Mallory to share. I still have a hard time realizing that not everyone is mean. I know I had a rough start to life and my PO’s were really mean to me. I sometimes forget that not everyone is that mean. Well pupster furends, I am off to see what Mallory has to say about this whole birthday thing.

We went to Granny’s again today. When Mom came home she looked at Mallory and me and said, “Kids. Shroomin season is over for another year.” Boy, was I glad. I love having Mom at home. I love going to Granny’s, but this everyday stuff was wearing me out. Mom said she found shrooms for Granny and Granny is happy. We want Granny happy.
Today is Granny’s birthday. Mom and her nephew are fixing a special dinner. Mom’s brother and his family will be there; they don’t like dogs – how rude. But the good news is Reni will spend the evening at our house. Mallory & I like Reni. I asked Mom if she would bring us a doggie bag. She said I had to stay on my diet, but she would try to bring us some chicken.
My dear pupster pals, it feels good to be back.
Woofers,
Harry
