Arrival Story:
Nikki was surrendered at the pound in Tucson AZ, with coccidioidomycosis; her previous guardians said she hated to be held, was rough and difficult. BRAT (Basenji Rescue and Transport) took her in, and she was transported and fostered by BRAT volunteers until we retrieved her in Coalinga, CA in May 2008 (halfway from her foster / transporter.)
Bio:
Nikki is a bit like a cat in grooming and being slightly aloof, but she is gentle, loving, loves cuddling and is an alpha female. She's learning how to play, enjoys running the Basenji 500. (She is over her valley fever, as well.) We all think Nikki has found her forever home - and Jack is teaching Nikki how to play!
