 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: January 1st 2007
Likes: hmmmm the kids...no wait the cats...ok its a toss up

Pet-Peeves: not getting attention

Favorite Toy: anything

Favorite Food: she loves anything

Favorite Walk: anywhere she is allowed

Best Tricks: doesnt really have any

Arrival Story: Quail is a rescue, it was a choice between leaving her where we found her without any food or shelter, the pound, or us taking her until we can find a good home for her. Since the pound isnt a option, because Escambia county is a kill shelter, we opted for doing what we can to see she gets a good and loving home.
She was owned by someone that had numerous animals, but the person wasnt able to take care of one much less a bunch of them. She was skinny, dirty and the smallest, therefore she was the least in the group. We brought her home, hoping that we will be able to find her a furever home that will meet her needs.

Bio: She is very affectionate, loves lots of attention, and is great with kids. We have 5 grandkids rangeing in ages between 1 to 6 that are constantly around her and she loves to play with them. She also loves cats, and plays/wrestles with the ones we have here around the house.
She is very loyal and protective of the ones that care for her.
She needs a place where she can get out and play, run and get the exercise that a dog of her breed requires. We live in our downtown area and arent fenced, therefore at this point all she gets is her bathroom time and a short walk about, which really isnt enough for her.
I guess I need to mention that she is fostered in the same house as Hannah and Tinker, two elderly T'zus, they all get along as far as it goes, since they arent particularly playful Quail doesnt take much intrest in them, and the two of them are like matriarch diva's so to them Quail is like a percocious child that needs to be ignored as far as they are concerned, so I guess you would call that "getting along" as one doesnt bother the other.
We have gotten her completly house broken, and she eats Pedigree.

Its a brand new year and I have really high hopes that the one thing I wish for the most is going to come my way. My furever family is out there somewhere just searching, searching, searching, and I know eventually, in the near future they are going to find me.
Yup, this is gonna be a great and wonderful year.

I thought it was just a matter of a few weeks and than I would be going to my furever home. I guess they changed their mind though. I was so excited, because I was so looking forward to being there for Thanksgiving...I was going to have so much to give thanks for.
Mama Priscilla says I still have alot to be thankful for...at least I will still be here with her and Daddy Jim, and they do love me and make sure I'm taken care of.
I just wished that if somebody was going to get my hopes up, and than they change their minds, they would just let us know that things arent going to work out, instead of not saying anything at all.....maybe something really bad happened to those nice ppl, that showed intrest, would be nice to know one way or the other, this was like the 3rd time its happened.
Anyway I do wish all those almost families a Happy Thanksgiving, and I'll keep waiting and hoping.

OHHHH MYYY DOGNESSSS....(rolls over on my back and starts to make all those funny moaning noise I make when I'm happy). My foster mama, Priscilla (I really call her "my prissi" the Man of the house told me I could) told me the grandest news today, that this Thanksgiving I may be giving thanks for my new furever home and family. AND....if it all works out,I'm not just getting a new mama and daddy, but I'm gonna get me a fur brother and sister. Also my prissi, told me that if all works out, I will get to herd cows, and run in pastures with my new fur brother Blue, and have allllllllllll kinds of wide open spaces.
Ok so I am gonna just sit here and wait...impatiently for everything to hopefully work out, so that my new Grandpawrent can come get me and take me to my hopefully soon to be new mama and fur brother.
I think I will practice singing "Home, Home on the Range. Where the deer and the antelope roam, where seldom is heard, a discouragin word, and the skies are not cloudy allllll dayyyyy" BOL
