Arrival Story:
A coworker's grandmother passed away, and she needed to find a home for her grandmother's dog. After being placed with a retired couple who admitted Jake was too active and they were afraid they would trip over him, she asked if I would take the little guy. My husband and I had been looking into adopting a dog, so this couldn't have been any better in timing. She told me she would bring Jake to me on Friday after work. Sight unseen, Jake was brought to me on Friday June 3, 2005. It was love at first sight. We took Jake to Petsmart, got his nails trimmed, bought him some toys and food and the rest is history. He sleeps in between my husband and I under the covers every night and even travels with us when we go on vacation. Jake is the best thing that has happened to our family and we love him so very much. We are not sure how old he is, but the gray hair on his snout lets us know he is older in his years. We know that for his remaining life, he is going to be loved and doted upon like none other.
