My Little Brother

I'm starting to like my new little brother, Chance. Sure, he can be a pain sometimes, but he's just a kid. The one thing that annoys me are his puppy teeth! Man! I can't WAIT till they fall out and he get's his "big boy teeth". Mom and Dad keep telling me what a good boy I am and once Chance is all grown up, they are going to send me to a doggie spa for the day to be pampered! They said I've gone through enough the past couple of years (puppyhood with my little sister, Brandie; then Brandie's death; and now puppyhood with Chance). Mom and Dad are so proud of me for putting up with everything and still being a happy-g0-lucky guy. Hey, I KNOW I'm spoiled, so of COURSE I'm going to be a good boy!

Hi - my name is Hunter, but you can call me Monka, everyone else does. Heck, sometimes I even forget my real name is Hunter! Anyway, I've got a brother named Boozer (littermate) that I really like to play with. He lives with his Dad in MA (my mom's 2-legged son). I wish they lived a little closer because I really miss him. I've also got a little yellow sister, Brandie. She's 13 months old and sometimes, just like a little sister, can be a pain in the you-know-what! She likes to bite my muzzle, my ears, my jowels. But you know, even though she does that, I'm SO happy Mom and Dad got her for me (even though they think they got her for themselves!). I heard them talking one day about how I needed a playmate because Boozer was going to be moving to Maryland and how lonely I'd be. So we got Brandie. I loved her from the day she was carried through our front door. Then a short time later, Mom told me that I'd get to see Boozer more often because his Dad was going to be moving to MA - got himself a real good job! What a lucky guy I am!

My life has been pretty uneventful (I've just recovered from double pneumonia - my only illness ever). I'm almost 3 years old now. I still think I'm a small pup (at 90 lbs) because I'm always laying in Mom's lap. She calls me her lap dog. My other obsession (other than always being with my Mom) is to retrieve anything that is thrown. I don't care if its a ball, rope, nylabone, anything. I especially love being at the water and running and jumping in. I will retrieve any toy for as long as you want to toss it for me - I never quit!
