Daddy is still not home. I know we said bye-bye-daddy at the airport, but we say bye-bye-daddy evfurry morning, and he always comes home fur din-din.

Mommy's still feeding me, so I don't mind so much. Our days are going pretty much as usual. But mommy doesn't understand at all how things are supposed to work at night! When daddy is here, he and I stay downstairs on the couch fur a long time after mommy goes up to bed. Daddy does stuff on his confuser or watches TV, and I keep his knees warm. Together we keep the house safe. That's my nighttime job.

Now daddy's not here. But mommy still wants to go sleep upstairs. She says I can stay on the couch if I want, but there are no knees to warm! She invites me to join her upstairs, but she wants me to be quiet and sleep. She doesn't understand that there are night noises, and the downstairs has to be protected. I have to be down there! But not alone. If I'm down there alone, I have to barkbarkbark to make sure mommy knows about the night noises, too! I'm trying to teach her, she needs to stay downstairs with me. I like the Big Bed as much as she does, but there is a time and place fur evfurrything!

aww...it's hard when your routine get's a little changes around. Your Daddy will be home soon and things will go back, but for now give it a try with Mommy!

Maybe a compromise... maybe Mum could stay up a little longer and snuggle on the couch... and you could go to bed a little earlier?

This is so hard...our momma was gone last week and Daddy is the one that goes to bed early here and he kept trying to come get us and we didnt want to go either....so I understand Hershey...it's so hard training pawrents!

Hope that your Daddy will be able to come home really soon, so that you won't have to unlearn the routine that your Mommy is teaching you.

Oh My! We're sure your Dad will be back soon. They don't stay away too long. Meanwhile, ask you MOm is you could keep her knees warm,if she would sit down there for a little while. I know you are doing your job!
