Nicknames:
My Soulbaby, CasaRover, DoggieJuan, Skruffers.

Quick Bio:
-purebred-pound dog-dog rescue

Likes:
Snuggling, Howling at sirens, Reading the paper (sniffing ground outside), teasing all his girl doggies, Sitting on his toys to protect them (to keep to himself), Falling to ground when you would throw a sheet over him.

Pet-Peeves:
Vacumn cleaner, Not being the center of attention, having his ankles nipped at & being chased by nannah's puppies.

Favorite Toy:
All of them.

Favorite Food:
Christmas Ham (Just Kidding).... he got a whole one off counter once & ate the whole thing. He liked all food & treats!

Favorite Walk:
To the mailbox (to help you get mail) & for walks down the street.

Best Tricks:
Holding your hand (wrapping paws & nails around your hand & pulling them to him - to LOVE on him). Sitting with butt only on sofa (front legs on ground).

Arrival Story:
He was homeless and lost at 3 months old. He was found outside Pier 1 crying for anyone to help him (soaking wet from the rain in wintertime). He was taken to the firestation across the street (they said they'd keep him). When we called to check on him, they had taken him to the pound. When we called the pound (on his 3rd day) he was to be put down "doggie death row" at 3 months old. We rushed over and saved him! We were going to just keep him until we found him a home (since we had 4 girl Labs) but, we fell so madly in love with him, that we kept him forever.

Bio:
In 1999, when he was 8 years old, we tragically lost him to renal failure & cardiac arrest. He was a giant breed, but we had no idea that was coming (or even close). That night & the devastation that followed was insurmountable & unbearable. ::: Skruffy, defined the meaning of LOVE! ::: He would lay next to you & stare into your soul, adoringly and just make you melt. He touched us in a way that we had never known & is one of the greatest loves of our lives (& most painful loss!) *** From the night we lost him, to this day... I still pray for the same thing (all the time) and will until I die, and that is - that when I leave this world, he be the very first thing I see, and get to be with! That HE be the one to walk with me wherever I go! Just him! Just my Skruffy. First HUG, first touch, smell, sound, comfort, sight... Just him. * That is how much I love him. * I hope I live a very long life here, but when my time is up, I couldn't think of a better reward, then to cross the bridge with my SOULBABY! We LOVE you Skruffy (& miss you everyday). TILL WE MEET AGAIN....... OOXOO

Should you go first and I remain to walk the road alone, I'll live in memories garden, dear, with happy days we've known.
In Spring I'll watch for roses red, when fades the lilac blue, -
In early Fall when brown leaves call, I'll catch a glimpse of you.
Should you go first and I remain for battles to be fought, each thing you've touched along the way will be a hallowed spot.
I'll hear your voice, I'll see your smile, though blindly I may grope, the memory of your helping hand will busy me on with hope.
Should you go first and I remain to finish with the scroll, no lengthening shadows shall creep in to make this life seem droll.
We've known so much of happiness, we've had our cup of joy, and memory is one gift of God that death cannot destroy.
Should you go first and I remain, one thing I'd have you do, -
Walk slowly down that long, lone path, for someday I will follow you.
I'll want to know each step you take, that I may walk the same, -
For someday down that road, by your side, again and for always,
you'll forever hear me calling your name.
