Arrival Story: I found Buster through an ad in our local paper when he was only 4 weeks old - not even weaned from his mom. But, the mother dog had rejected her pups so they had to be placed as soon as possible. It was like having newborn initially as I had to get up and feed him through the night. I took him to work with me and kept him in a box under my desk so Icould feed him. It was all worht it.
Bio: He has lost both eyes. About 3 years ago he was trying to catch a tennis ball but it richocheted off the wall and smacked him in the eye. After about a year of frequent vet visits we had it removed. The remaining eye developed glaucoma in it after about another year so it had to be removed, also, due to the pain it caused him. He gets around pretty well but does run into things occasionally. It is actually amazing how he finds his way about the house.
