Charlie is actually a pet shop dog. I saw him and I knew I had to get him out of there. He had a lop ear, his tail had been cropped wrong and he'd been living in his own filth for weeks. So i forked over $400, and took the poor boy home with me.

Bio:
Charlie was only with me for a short time: a little over 3 years. But my goofy boy touched my life in ways I will never forget. We lost him in a freak drowning accident on 8 May, 2005; Mother's Day. Rest easy my sweet boy. You will always be missed, but now we have a wondreful guardian angel to watch over us.

My Tail of Devotion for Charlie Brown - in our hearts

A goofy grin and a floppy ear was what greeted me through the filthy glass in the petstore where I had gone to look into natural dog food. I looked at the price printed on the piece of paper taped to the window: WELSH CORGI $485 I knew I couldn't afford you, but on a whim I asked the store clerk if I could see you, and she brought you out to me. You ran around the floor, slipping and sliding before coming back to sit with me. You'd already been there longer than all your other littermates, because of your crazy ear and longer tail. You were imperfect and in my eyes, that made you all the more PERFECT. I knew you had to come home with me. Somehow, I would manage it. And I did.

You were the perfect addition. Nothing made me happier than to be greeted at the door by you and Chloe, with your nub going a mile a minute. I know I lost my temper sometimes, and I know when I was upset you guys took the brunt of it, but you never stopped loving me. You and Chloe are what got me through some very hard times, and for that I will be forever grateful.

You've been gone a little over a year now, and I still miss you as much as ever. Every time I see a mud puddle you would have loved. Every time I'm at the dog park and I see a group of dogs running as fast as they can, I see you right in there with them. I know you're looking down on me, and in your own little way you're still helping me through hard times. I know that you and your brother have made peace, and I know you know he didn't mean any of it. Now I have 2 of the best guardian angels anyone could ask for.

My Charlie Brown. I will miss you until we meet again. Your smile won't have changed, and you'll still be my goofy boy.

Thank you for everything, Charlie. Mama still loves you!
