Arrival Story:
I worked at our local no kill animal shelter. i worked there a month, and Orville as they named him, hated being there so much he was starving to death. You could see this dogs bone on top of his head sticking out, as well as his ribs. So, I brought him home and fattened him up. he was the neatest dog. he'd sit on my lap even tho he was way to big for a lap dog. but my hubby kept yelling that 3 dogs was too many in this house. let alone one of them being a wolfdog. So, i found a girl who fostered him, cuz i didn't want to send him back to the shelter. unfortunately, the girls mother sent him back to the shelter after awhile. Well, i went in one night, and couldn't find him. They told me he should be there. Well, stupid me didn't look in all the dog houses. They found him dead the next morning laying in a dog house. he just crawled inside and died. he died of a broken heart and no one can tell me any different. Once again, i feel i have let one of my furry friends down. I should of brought him home again, or something. He couldn't stand being in a dog shelter. And when i was taking the other dogs to a store in the mall where i worked, i didn't take him that day. Is that why he died of a broken heart? If only i had taken him that day. Or if only i would have been smart enough to check all the dog houses, maybe he was still alive that night and i could of saved him. Once again Please God help me deal with death. If only......but there are no more if only's with him. He will forever be in my heart. He was the neatest dog in the world. So please think twice about taking a dog to the pound. such stupid reasons like he is digging holes. Or we just don't want him anymore. they are pack animals and deserve a family. Also, please don't just tie your dog up and leave him in the back yard. This also is no life for our furry friends. Forever in my heart, my beloved furry friends.
