She hates it when our old toy poodle decides to join her when she is sleeping in our bed as she prefers to have the entire bed to herself.

Favorite Toy:
sterilized bones

Favorite Food:
she loves all treats except when we try to sneak in fruit and vegetables such as apples and carrots. She always spits the healthy treats out and waits for the dog biscuits.

Favorite Walk:
we walk on hiking trails in a local conservation area where she loves to chase bunnies but never catches them of course.We also see deer and Chayla just stares in awe at such beautiful creatures.

Best Tricks:
She just learned how to shake a paw and still does it rather poorly.

Arrival Story:
Chayla was rescued from our local Indian Reservation by an Animal Rescue Group.She was discovered tied to a chain link fence on a 6ft.leash and was about to give birth to puppies.She was sent to a foster home who treated her well and treated her sores on her side from laying in the dirt while chained up during her pregnancy.It turns out the owner was using her puppies as a means of making money to buy more alcohol.It was her 3rd. pregnancy in a short time and she was in bad shape.She had 8 puppies and was an excellent mom. Her foster family(friends of ours) called us when it was time for her and her puppies to go to the shelter for adoption and asked if we would come and look at her and see if she would fit in with the rest of the pets in our home.We made up our minds very quickly to adopt her when we saw what a great dog she was with her pups and with people.She has become best friends with our other dog and they are inseparable.We can't imagine how such a sweet girl could have taken all the abuse that she did without turning into a mean dog.....but she doesn't have a nasty bone in her body.
