Two years now!

Wow its so hard to believe that its been two years ago today that Sadie went in for her surgery. During the night we lost our sweet girl from complications......never did know for sure why. We think it was the anesthesia. She was such a tiny little girl but she left a huge hole in my heart when she died. She was so snuggly and funny! She could make us all laugh by acting so silly with her toys! She loved her pink poodle and she loved to make Sophie snuggle with her! LOL! Piper has taken over that role. She makes Sophie snuggle with her even if she doesnt want too! LOL!

I'm sure Sadie is playing with Gizmo and CeCe tonight! Having lots of fun and keeping her little eyes open watching for us to someday meet again! She will forever have a spot in my heart!

One year ago today!

Today marks the one year anniversary of Sadie's trip to Rainbow Bridge! It has been a very hard day for her momma. Her passing was so sudden and unexpected and her life was much to short. We expected to have many, many years with her. But she must have been needed at Rainbow Bridge.

She loved Sophie so much....I honestly think Sophie thought that Sadie was her baby. She mothered her and took such good care of her! Sophie had a very hard time when Sadie died....and hid from us refusing food for a few days. Her baby was suddenly gone. I didnt know what to do.....so, a friend suggested I go along with her to look at some puppies and I fell in love with Tuggy. He was so cute and full of energy and I bought him that night. He came home with me a few days later and Sophie didnt like him at all!!!!!! I was just sure that she would be so happy to have another puppy to mother. But she wasnt! She let him know right away that she wasnt putting up with his crap! He would try to sneak and lay beside her and she would move. He would try to play and she ignored him. Then after about a week she finally played with him......but she never mothered him the way she did her baby Sadie! She loves her little brother now.....but I cant help but wonder about that sweet baby she loved so much!!!!!! How big she would have been now.....what she would have looked like......what her favorite things would have been. I know Sophie wonders too.....I imagine there will be a happy reunion between them someday!

Missing You!!!

It has been five weeks since we lost little Sadie and we still miss her so much!! She was only with us for 7 weeks but she was such sweet little girl. It gets harder for the girls to remember her but when they see her pictures it reminds them of something funny that she had done. Mr. Tuggles has helped Sophie so much. She has another puppy to take care of now, even though he can be a real pest to her. She was so protective of Sadie and treated her so gently. She knew to be easy with her because she was so tiny, but with Tuggles it is all out wrestle mania at our house. She knows he can take and give a good fight.

It is so funny when she holds him down to lick his face and she pays special attention to cleaning his eyes. When Sadie got the Cherry eye Sophie kept trying to lick it off and we had to make her leave her alone. I think she is trying to make sure that Tuggles doesn't get one too.
