Arrival Story: I moved down to Georgia from Colorado after getting married, hauling my grumpy cat Penni with me on the plane. A few months after we moved in Penni slipped out the front door of our apartment and was gone. Considering she had always been a strictly indoor kitty for the past 5 years I didnt think I'd ever see her again. My B-Day came up and my husband and I decided that we should get a dog. I was very lonely and after seemingly endless days and nights of searching for my cat I had pretty much came to the terms that she would never turn up. We headed down to the humane society with the idea in mind that we would just look around... And there she was was, a very blonde and eager fluff-ball. They told us that she was a sheltie/spaniel mix, but they were'nt sure. Her original name was Riley and she had been adopted and then returned that same week. Last of a litter that was left in a box outside the humane society's door. We took her into the little side room and that was it, took her home that day. While walking her up to her new home there was movement in the bushes next to our apartment and out came Penni. Dirty but otherwise okay. The cat had a lot of adjustments to make with the new puppy but we're all happy now. Sadie is very smart and suprisingly relaxed, we couldnt have made a better choice... Thanks to the cat!
