This weekend we drove up to Reno, it was my longest trip in the car yet! I don't mind riding in the car because my parents always make it nice and comfy. They put my crate in back but usually i just relax on a pillow right between their seats amd sleep for most of the trip. I like sleep!
When we got to Reno, much to my surprise, my brother Spanky was there! I haven't seen Spanky since we were both 12 weeks old! As soon as I saw Spanky, we played non-stop. Everyone thought we were crazy but we were having tons of fun! Spanky lives with another French Bulldog named Darla. She's a little older then us, but we let her play with us anyway. He also lives with two HUGE dogs that I kept hearing them call "Akitas." I'm not sure what an "Akita" is but they were big. They seemed to like me, so it was cool.
Reno was also really cold, and there was white stuff all over the place. I've never seen white stuff on the ground where i live in California. It was really cold, kind of like the little cubes that come from the white box in our kitchen. I liked going out and rolling around in the white stuff to cool off after Spanky and I played.
At the end of our trip, we stopped at yet another emporium of toys and I got a little pink thing with many legs that makes noises (during the car trip home this seemed to annoy my parents after awhile). They also got me another one of those accursed things that go around my neck but at least this one was very fashionable.

It was a cold December night so Chowder wore his holiday best, a cute little stripe sweater to stroll the famous street in Alameda called Thompson Lane. The Christmas lights were beaming at every house on the block. So much to see.
Boy did Chowder love the fake snow on the grass of this special house. He literally went under the Christmas lights surrounding the lawn and sat on the snow next to the mechanical moving Snowman. Chowder was just waiting to get noticed. Sure enough, next thing you know a candid newspaper photographer who was shooting candid shots in the dark for the Sunday Newspaper discovered him. The photographer was across the street hiding behind a tree. Of course, Chowder really wanted treats for his magnificent display but having his picture in the newspaper was A-OK by him.
Every year all 54 houses on the street decorate their houses in holiday lights and elaborate displays to celebrate the Christmas holiday season. Christmas Carolers and Santa visit the kids the week before Christmas in the early evening.
The article was published in the December 19, Sunday, Alameda Times-Star and Oakland Tribune Newspaper. He is on the cover of the section called "The Island and Business".
Happy Holiday!

Wow, this was a really amazing week. I was able to explore the world finally. I'm not sure if I love dogs or people more. Yesterday, we took my first walk to 4th Street in Berkeley. I had to stop and meet and greet every person that walked by. The store owners were great too. They all fed me treats and even let me shop in their stores. I had the best time with Henry, a pug I met in one of the stores. We played for at least an hour. Henry has really tall legs so I was a small peanut in comparison but I had a blast playing with him. I can't wait for our next play date. Today I met Baeu, a white one year Frenchie at the dog park. My first Frenchie encounter since the days with my brother and sister six weeks ago. Beau and I rolled around in the dirt while playing. I was so tired when I got home that I even let my human mom clean my ears, clip my toe nails, which I hate and give me a bath. Tomorrow we are meeting Babalu... I can't wait.

Today was an awesome day. You see, I am very picky about my toys and bones. I really think it's foolish to chase a ball. I would prefer to run after a human more than anything. But today, I was given Greenies which to my surprise, I loved. It's about time. I think my owner's were happy when they saw I loved the "Greenies". I chewed on it for at least an hour and didn't need to be entertained from human interaction.
Today I went to vote, and boy did it take a long time. Everyone had to stop and touch and squeeze me before I could actually go into the booth. Finally, I snuck into the booth and took care of business. They gave me an "I voted" sticker which mommy made me wear for pictures. I'm sure it will get posted soon. So check back.
