Arrival Story:
Lasya is my first dog of my own. A few months before finishing college in 2000, I decided I needed a dog. My mom had lost our German Shepherd, Ripley, to leukemia in October, and it made me realize what an integral part of my life they have always been. I fell immediately in love with Lasya's intelligent face, and liked the fact that she wasn't barking, just sitting quietly in her cage. I took her outside to play and knew she was "the one." She has been through so much with me - moving around from place to place and staying with family members as I got settled. She graciously accepted her new sister Freya this February.
