Arrival Story:
I had a friend at work who told me he had friends with German Shepherds and they just had puppies. Well, I went home and told my boyfriend (now husband) about the puppies. We were both very excited and called the breeder to see if we could come look at the puppies and possibly pick one out. When we got there, Jakes mommy and daddy were outside and his daddy ran full force right at me! It kind of scared me at first, but he just licked my hand and herded me to the door. Jake's mommy on the other hand was not so thrilled to see us. It was her first litter of puppies and we were the first ones to come see them. When we walked into the room with the puppies we were so excited!! So many puppies!! But out of all of them, Jake was the puppy that kept coming back by us and tried crawling out of his pen to see us. I picked him up, he grunted a lot and I was in love. To our surprise, the breeders said we could take him home that day. We were so happy, we had already went out a bought everything a puppy would want the night before. Jake cried all the way home, all night long, and most of the next day!! But settled in and made himself right at home after that. He is my first dog of my own and he is my heart. I love him to death. Daddy loves him too, but you know, Jakes a big momma's boy!!

Bio:
Jake is a purebred German Shepherd with one floppy ear, which we think gives him character. He loves going for walks, playing with his Jolly ball out in the yard, playing hide-and-seek, and eating!! He will eat anything! He'll eat a whole apple, core and all!! He's a big boy at about 105 pounds. Jake is a big talker, loves to let everyone know what he's thinking at all times. He even groans in his sleep. Jake will celebrate is 4th birthday January 21st.

Wow, it's been a long time since my last diary entry. Well its been pretty busy around here. Summer is over and I'm looking forward to winter-I love the snow!! It's so much fun!

Nothing very exciting has been going on. Mom and Dad put in new flooring and now when I run I slide everywhere! What happened to the soft fluffy stuff? Oh well, Mom seems to really like it.

Go vote for me under "sleepers" if you get a chance! I can't wait to see who'll win!!

Thank you everyone for the compliments yesterday. It was so much fun being on the front page for diary of the day. Zeke and I made a lot of new friends and hope to make a lot more!

Wow! We haven't written anything for a long time. Nothing too much going on. Zeke and I graduated our training class and will move on to some more very soon. I didn't really like it when the trainer took me away from my mom or dad, I really pitched a fit but it's my way of showing how much I love them! So our trainer decided that my reward for doing things is some lovin' from mom or dad! It was a lot more fun that way!

We had a Fourth of July party at our house. Lots of people to play with me and pet me. But when the fireworks started going off, I felt better going in my room until they were done. They make me a little nervous. But mom said I was a very good boy that day. Let's have another party!!
