Arrival Story:
I had a beautiful golden, his name was Shakespeare, for 13 years who passed away from cancer. It took me three years before I could even consider adding another puppy to the family. When I was finally ready , I went out looking for another golden. I found a woman who raises them and I went to look at all her puppies. While looking at all the beautiful pups, Lady just looked at me with her beautiful brown eyes, and I fell head over heals in love with her. When I was finally able to go bring her home, my husband went with me. On the way there, he stated that we would have strict rules. She would not be allowed on any furniture, she would stay off the bed, and would stay in the family room and the backyard. I simply agreed with him because I knew once he saw her, all things would change-and did they ever:) When he first held her, he couldn't believe how little she was and that we were going to get to take her home. ( He had never had a pet before). On the ride home, he just kept looking at her and was worried because she didn't seem to like riding in the car. I promised him that as she got older she would love the car. Now, we can't seem to keep her out of it. When we finally arrived home, we took her upstairs to our bedroom and he told me we could put her on the bed a little while to play with her and get to know her. When it was bedtime, I put her in her little bed I had set up in our adjoining bathroom and went to put her down. I hadn't put her down for more than 30 seconds when she started crying. He immediately yelled at me, "GO GET HER, DON'T LET HER CRY". She hasn't been off our bed since, and she sleeps at the head of the bed with her head on his pillow with him. (Needless to say... she has the run of the entire house)

Bio:
She is extremely goregous, and the sweetest thing that ever walked the earth. She is officially named Miss Lady MacBeth in tribute to Shakespeare. If Lady has any puppies, we will keep a boy and name him Romeo.

The Holidays Have Passed

Woo!! That's all I can say right now. I am so glad that the holidays are over. My mom puts everything up. I mean she has so much Christmas stuff, you would think that we are the Hallmark Store. Anyway, I really do like Christmas. I received tons of gifts from Santa. He brought me chew bones, toys, sweaters, a bed, balls and bone that is the size of me standing up. It is awesome. I don't know how Santa got it down our chimmney, but boy am I glad that he did.
My Uncle Cookie came over and we got to play and have fun. I could smell my Mom cooking all those fabulous Cuban foods for dinner, and everytime I asked her for some she would tell me that I couldn't have any. What gives with that? I mean, aren't I her pride and joy? So I asked her, "Hey Mom, what gives?" and she replied something silly like, "I love you Lady and Cookie, so I will not feed you this food because it is not good nor healthy for your tummies." I know she was just trying to protect us, but dang, that stuff smelt great.
As for New Years Eve, mom and dad say we aren't going anywhere. They say we will have a quiet family evening and ring in the New Year together. I love when Mommy says that we will be together.
Ok, I better get going for now. I will update you soon. I am kinda excited about the coming month. I spend much time with my maternal grandparents and I love them more than anything in the world, but it will be fun because my paternal grandmother is coming for a visit. She hasn't seen me in a while. Boy will she be surprised.
Well, catch you all on the flip side.

Lady :)

My first Halloween Party

On Saturday, October 30, 2004, I had my first Halloween party. My Mommy and Daddy invited a bunch of their friends ( who all know and love me), but I got to invite one special friend. I invited Shasta to my home to play with me. While all the silly humans were talking and drinking, Shasta and I got to play around in the backyard . We ran all over the backyard, and played on the grass, and played tug a war with the coolest bone ever. Shasta brought it for me as a gift. (Wasn't that nice of her?)

Anyway, everybody stayed late, and when Shasta finally had to go, I played a little with the humans that were left and ate all the super food that was left over.

By the end of the night, I was exausted and slept all night with my Mommy and Daddy. It was the best Halloween Party ever :)
