preferably in the fields by our old house where she would run free, ignore our calls, and pounce on field mice.. eventually she would come back, or in the later years we would get the car and when she was done chasing us, she would come in the car

Arrival Story:
Lucy was rescued from a life on the streets and near starvation. She is now fat and happy.
We came across Lucy near the dumpster one night when we had come home late from a Beatles laserium show at the Griffith Park Observatory. We tried to see if she had a collar but she ran away. The next day a couple of kids came to the door with Lucy to see if she was ours, and we took her in. We moved to a house 2 weeks later where she had her own doggie run and a dirt area to dig in. She was so skinny and afraid - we are pretty sure she had been badly abused and was near starvation. When we look back on the first pictures we took of her, with her bones sticking out all over, we want to cry and cry.. but we know that she has been loved in our home for the last 9 years and forgets her sad life, so that makes us feel better.
Bio:
The vet thinks Lucy has some coyote and chow, and maybe some golden retriever or lab. She has very soft fur. She is an alpha dog and tries to dominate any other dog that comes into her territory - which means we can't let her play with any other dogs because she will bite at them... bad girl! But we love her lots and love to take her for walks and let her sniff to her heart's content.
