Meat, vegies (even broccoli!), rawhide treats, fat drippings from the pan (which I don't get much anymore) ... and whatever my people let me lick off the serving spoon (after they're done with it, of course).

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere Mom goes, but especially through the woods where I can run after deer ... and boogie men, and bigfoot, and lions and tigers and bears, oh my!

Best Tricks:
Giving paw, lying down, speaking, rolling over, playing dead, playing "grab-your-hat-from-your-head-and-run-away-with-it," and putting my chin between my paws and giving my people those big brown eyes to get my way!

Arrival Story:
The kids were begging for another dog... Papa kept saying said NO! Then one day he weakened and brought home the cutest little Shepherd-mix pup for Valentine's Day -- me! (Boy, some dads will do anything to score points with the rugrats!)

Bio:
My canine dad is a mystery, but there's some long hair in his pedigree somewhere, for sure, and maybe floppy ears (one of mine never did stand up). My mom was a purebred German Shepherd, but she was chained to her doghouse outside during her heat (bad idea) -- and I think she was very "popular!" My human mom wonders if he was a border collie, because I'm so wiry and "high energy!!!" Zoom, zoom, zoom! Some people think I look a little comical with my tufts of long hair around my head, and one-ear-up and one-ear-down! But they also say I'm a real charmer! As you can see, I've finally gotten past that gangly, awkward stage and am actually quite good looking, in a funny sort of way! Hey, stop laughing at me -- I'm CUTE!!! I am a little goofy now and then ... like the way I sometimes start daydreaming when I'm licking my peoples' hands -- and stop mid-lick with my tongue stuck to them and just stay that way! But my people are easily amused and get a good laugh out of it, so I'll even do it on purpose sometimes just to amuse them. I used to always have to stay locked in my kennel when the people had to leave me home, because I chewed so many things (even the arm of their good couch -- that was a bad day for me!!!). But I got over the chewing thing, and now I'm a GOOD BOY! In the last couple years, I've lost my two companions... first Holly one year, then Monte the next. I was pretty depressed, being the ony doggie, so Mom & Dad decided it was time to visit the shelter with me again to pick out a new companion. Check out my new sister, Marble. I still miss Monte and Holly sometimes, but Marble's really playful and has cheered me up again. She makes my human family laugh again, too, so I guess I'll keep her!
