My husband was working on the roof of our house in Puerto Rico and he looks down to see what he thought was a cat on the property. He came down and was greeted by this little 4lb puppy who was skin and bones but had a huge head. She was so adorable that he ended up feeding her and decided he would find her home in Puerto Rico. He certainly didn't want to bring her home. She decided differently. That first night she came into the house in the middle of the night and climbed into bed with him to snuggle. She made herself at home. I got a call he found her and before my husband decided to bring her home and though I haven't seen her yet, I knew she was meant to be ours, I looked into airline regulation to bring her home.
Bio:
She had a real bad first year. During her initial visit to the vet he noticed something that looked like "ant bites" on her forehead and he (the vet) felt giving her steriods will help with the itchiness. Well, it turns out she had Demodex, the mites multiplied and she became very ill. She suffered from generalized mange, anemia, secondary skin infections, etc. The vets here said she would recover but it would take alot time, patience and money. We would fashion little jackets out of old t-shirts since she had no hair and stuff with her. Well now you would never know she was a sick puppy.

Okay, my mommie just started this group so that people in NY can get together and save pups like me. She told me to just mention it for now and that i can talk all about it later because its past my doggie bed-time and i need my rest. The picture on there is my sister Jolie, but mommie said that i was going to be the offical spokesdoggie for the group so its really doesn't matter that her picture is there and not mine. She even got me a new dress too!!!
