Ugh bathtime!

Hi everyone once again!! Happy warm weather! I know what that time means...baths once again in the garage. I hate getting baths...I'd rather be dirty but my family doesn't think the same way...I heard the words "stink" and "Daisy needs a bath" so that isn't good. Here comes by sister towards me, wanting to pick me up for my trip to the basin where my bath awaits but NOOOO I run off! I know what she is trying to do. And mom has towels...what's up with that?? Then when I am getting washed dad makes fun of me and calls me a little piggy. How rude!! I don't know though, a bath did feel kind of good...it's 75 degrees and I was a little hot. So I let her wash me but of course with a little struggle for her HEHE...I got a little wiggly at the end and I got in trouble for getting my sister wet but I am clean now...everyone should be happy and leave me alone now. I was good I think..I deserve a hamburger or something.

Like my new pictures?? I am such a model. See the one with the boy beagle? That's my boyfriend Chase-he's also a bigger. Sad to say but I am bigger than him and older-but just by 5 months. He has a new brother named Ray that is a little smaller than him and around 2 or 3. Nobody knows bc some jerk supposedly dumped him on our street- just opened their car door and let him out and the losers drove on. That is so mean. So my boyfriend's family took him in- the other day Chase and Ray came to see me...they were at my front door and my sister exclaimed 'Look, Daisy has boys at the door' I am such a princess :)

Well I gotta run...a hot dog's calling my name!

Happy Birthday to me!

Happy Birthday to me! I am 9 years old today- that's 63 in dog years! My family had a little party in my honor tonight. I already was a bad girl though today- when the front door was open and my sister and mom was bringing in groceries, I slid out. Just wanting to see what good food they got this week! But I felt free and since it was my birthday, I thought it wouldn't hurt to run down a few yards. Guess my family thought otherwise- my sister found me (I kept teasing her and running away from her) and scolded me. She said something about no party time if I misbehave again but I think she'll change her mind!

And she did! I had cake and a candle and my family sang to me. I got a little piece of cake b/c my sister said too much is bad for me. But it was good though! I got some bones to chew on- I love bones :) And speaking of bones, I cannot believe my fellow dog friends on Dogster gave me 341 so far!! Thanks to everyone-I wish I knew who you all were b/c I'd like to give you some bones also! And my sister is behind me, saying I'll gobble up 341 real bones in no time! She's so silly And I got my first Rosette! Thanks Misty! I had a great birthday after all! Hope every doggie gets hugs and kisses from their people. Have a great day!

Happy summer!

Hey friends, I can't believe summer is almost over..ah before long I'll be barking at the school buses and the kids coming home from school again. I think I'll enjoy the rest of my summer though lying by the vent where it is nice and cool. Heck, I'll just sleep period! That's what I am doing now-hmm how can I sleep and type at the same time? That's a secret :)

Like my new profile pic? It's my new back shot-I'm such a pretty lady for the camera...away from the camera, that's a different story. Mom said she saw me licking myself today and then later on,my sister caught me licking myself again on her bed which I don't think she appreciated. Hey when you gotta itch you gotta itch.

Lately I've been hearing the words "vet" and "shots" around the house. Supposedly it's time for my v-a-c-c-i-n-a-t-i-o-n-s...ahhh! I'd rather let my sister paint my nails and not give me pouches for a week than to go through all that!! Do you all ever get shots? It's not fun is it? Maybe as long as my friends here can give me support, I can give them support too when they get their shots and I won't feel alone.

Well, guess I'll do. Time to go back to sleep! I get sleepy if I am awake at least 15 minutes HA HA. Bye!

Happy 4th of July Everyone!!

Happy 4th of July everyone? Are you scared of fireworks like me? I hate them!! Being a hound dog typical for hunting, I am very nervous of loud sounds--fireworks, gun shots, thunder, you name it! When I hear something like this, I get so scared and hide under my sister's bed and sometimes she has to calm me down because I am panting so bad. I heard that tonight, there's gonna be alot of fireworks so I am prepared to hide when ready! The thing is, people around here shoot fireworks at all hours of the night. In the middle of the night, early morning--geez, you just can't get any rest.

Like my picture? Very patriotic isn't it? Sorry I look so sad in the picture. I an just remembering how sad July 4th can be, remembering the ones we lost (especially soldiers) and thinking how we are so lucky to live in a wonderful nation as the USA. Actually I was sleepy and my sister stuck the flag behind me...my brother said I looked like the day after 4th of July HA HA. I love sleeping where I am at in the picture...it is so cool because the vent blows on me. Especially love it when it hits my belly :) Sister made sure the flag was loved and didn't hit the ground--she says the flag is very special--the flag in the pic with me was actually bought around September 11, so it is indeed a special flag!

Oh I do like 4th of July because of the BBQ! Food=Daisy!! I like ribs and chicken but my family doesn't give me much (something about being on a diet...what is diet?)--just a piece of chicken every once in awhile. I like food alot, in case you didn't know

Well, I need to give my paws a rest...mom and dad are almost home from the store and I need to see what they got me. Have a Happy 4th you all and be safe!

Baby, It's Hot Outside!

Oh it's so hot outside! It's that time of year again. See, I was a winter baby, born in January. This weather isn't made for me. My sister said it was 90 degrees outside...that is HOT she said. My water tastes great during this time of year....yummy. Sometimes my family gives me cool, summery treats to eat. Dad puts water in empty butter tubs and freezes them to make ice just for me to lick! Thankfully I haven't gotten my tongue stuck to it yet..HA! Mom gives me ice cubes and popsicles to eat. It's so tasty! I can picture it now...a giant ice cube and a green long ol' Flavor Ice waiting for me!

My sister tries to keep me cool by getting me wet, whether it's giving me a quick shower in the basin or picking up 38 lb me and putting me in the pool. I hate being wet! I try to amuse my sis by swimming (which I can do!) but I hate it so much. I'd rather lie in the shade or eat something cool. There's the image of the ice cube again! I gotta get some!

Did I mention I love to lie by the vent? We have 3 I love to lie by--one is under my sister's bed, one is behind the living room table, and my favorite--the one in the kitchen next to the hutch. My family laughs when I lie there because I sprawl out and lie on my side and close my eyes--I look very relaxed. It feels so good there!

Well, gotta go! Time to eat almost. My sister wants to buy me a doggy bikini for the summer but I don't have the body for one. I'm a self-conscious hound who is just a little chubby. Hmm, I wander why. Well, gotta find me some grub!

I hate baths!!!

Since it is still cold out in my neck of the woods, my mom and sister took me to Feeder's Supply to give me a bath. I saw the wash stalls, and I knew what was going on. My sister hooked me up and sprayed me for a good 15 minutes..I felt like I was taking a shower. Then my sister sprayed me in the face..not to hurt me, but just to get me clean. Then for another 5 minutes, my sister washed me on one end while mom washed me on the other end with shampoo. I felt clean though...I havent had a bath in awhile.

Then after the bath, mom and sister started drying me with towels. I was impatient, so I just shook myself, getting them wet. I got a nice drying thanks to the hair dryer...I was kind of scared at first and tried to escape but i just gave up at the end because i was hooked up and the grooming table was too too far from the ground. Then I got brushed--I liked that!! All kinds of cool brushes used..it felt so good!

I was kinda sleepy going home..I mean, it was a nice relaxing bath. I gotta do it again sometime! I'm nice and clean now and I know I'm sleeping good tonight

My sister updated my pictures...she said that she wanted people to see my 8th birthday party in January. I had to make sure she didn't post the one of me pigging out with my birthday cake (I really didn't want my birthday pictures on here at all, but she thought I looked so cute in my party hat!)

Yay, my sister told me beagles are the breed of the week on Dogster! It's such an honor that they picked floppy-eared, howling, meat-eating hounds like us! Hope you see my entry while you stroll through! Hope you have a nice day--I'm going to eat something...sausage sounds good

Like my new picture? My sister took this of me a couple weeks ago with her hat. See, my whole family are University of Louisville fans, and my sister has a UofL hat. She trained me to be a UofL fan. The hat's OK as long as I don't wear it a long time. Go cards!


I watched some of the Westminster show (that show is equivalent to a beauty pageant for humans!) Those dogs are so beautiful and poised. Wish I was like that. When I found out Carlee the German Shorthaired Pointer won, I was so happy! I have some friends that are German Shorthair Pointers...my dad's friend has one named Jenny and I have a friend from Dogster...Skeeter!

Yay Christmas!!

Well, my sister said that Christmas is here again. She told me that it's her favorite holiday! I like Christmas too because I get to lie down under the tree where it's soft...until mom or somebody gets on me for trying to knock the tree down, hee hee. I like to snuggle on the tree skirt..it's so warm! I think my family got me some presents--I like those! I hope they got some food, like pig ears yum!! I got scolded last week for trying to get into my present. My sister caught me looking into it, luckily I didn't I see what I got (at least that's what my sister thinks HAHAHA).

Sis took me to see Santa this past weekend. Oh I hate that man! I am so scared of him. I tried to sit in his lap, but I was so nervous I jumped off his lap and made a fool of myself. My sister had to end up getting in the picture with me in order to hold me down...I hated it. But she said she does it every year. She said that I looked scared in my picture..well duh I don't like that bearded dude they call Santa. What's his purpose anyways?

Oh and they got me a sweater. Can you believe that? A SWEATER!!!I'm not crazy about it, but it is warm. I am kind of mortified when I wear it...dad calls me an armadillo in it-whatever that is. And he calls me a pig in a blanket...I know what that means..how rude! I am trying you all, but I just can't resist them hot dogs! Yummy!
