Lilo was our wedding present to each other. We got her 2 days after we got back from our honeymoon. We saw her and instantly fell in love with her and her big brown eyes!

Lilo is a character. She is full of energy, she loves to run and play. Her best friends are cats, but she does love other dogs as long as they don't bark at her! She loves going on walks, and playing with her Grandma and Grandpa. We are very lucky! She is very spoiled, but how can you resist those big brown eyes?

Wow, I am almost 3 1/2 years old now! I have a great life. I spend most of the daytime during the week at my Grandma and Grandpa's house. Grandpa is retired and he has lots of time to play with me, and I get to run around in their huge back yard. Then after work my Mom and Dad come to get me, and I go home and chase the cat! Of course, I get to sleep on the bed, and I have made sure that I get the best spot. The cat now has to sleep down at the bottom of the bed, I'm the new head of this house!
I get to go on walks every day. I like to walk around our town. It's kind of small, and lots of other people walk their dogs too, so I get to see my friends. There are a lot of other Westies here too and it's fun to meet them and visit.
Not much else happens around here. I have a good thing going. Grandma and Grandpa spoil me rotten, then I get to go home and get lots of love from my parents. It's definitely a dogs life!

It's a Dogs Life

Wow, I'm pretty bad at updating this aren't I? Well, I'm one happy pup lately. Lots of things have been going on in my world.

It seems that mom has quit her job. She came home really early Sat. and told me that she would have more time to spend with me! I am so excited. That night we went to Grandma and Grandpas house, and they had friends over, so I got lots of attention. I ran around the back yard and had a lot of fun.

Monday we went back to Grandma and Grandpas AGAIN! I was so excited! I ran around the back, got nice and wet, then gave everyone kisses. I got to play with Simba, the cat that they have over there. He's older than my sister Jessie, and he and I play pretty well. Sometimes he smacks me in the face though. I don't think that's very nice, but I don't let it phase me, I just keep on playing!

Monday night after we all went to bed, my mom got really sick. She said she had something called "the flu". I hope that I never get that, it was pretty bad. She was up all night, and I was worried about her, so I was up all night too! Dad left for work the next morning, and mom and I stayed in bed almost all day. I was really upset. She normally plays with me during the day, but she didn't even get up. Around 2 yesterday my Grandpa came and gave mom something called "7-up". Apparently she needed to drink that to feel better. He also took me for a walk which was nice. I really wanted to go home with him, but also wanted to stay and make sure mom was ok, so I went back to sleep on her lap. Dad finally came home, and mom went to bed really early.

Today she seems to feel a little better. She played with me a little this morning, and she even ate something. I'm hoping that I will get to play more today, but I need to make sure she's ok.

Ohh! I forgot! The neatest thing happened on Sunday. Grandma and Grandpa came over to our house, and they helped mom and dad set up this big tree in our front room. Once it was up, mom and dad put all these little decorations on it. Mom also put up stuff on the fireplace, and around the house. It is so pretty, there are lots of lights and candles, and fun stuff to smell. Jessie likes to climb in the tree. Mom doesn't like that at all. She gets mad. Dad gets even more mad. I am a good girl though, I just sit under the tree and look at all the pretty lights. Jessie is going to get in big trouble I tell you! Mom says this is for something called "Christmas" and that I get a stocking that will be full of toys! I can't wait for that! This is my first Christmas, and Jessie's second Christmas. I hope that she quits climbing the tree though, it really upsets the humans.

Ok, that's what's been going on with me. I hope that all my doggie pals are having a good week!

A Day in the Life

Wow, I haven't written anything for a few days. My Mom and Dad have been really busy and I have been spending a lot of time playing with Jessie (my sister, the cat), or at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

Mom seems to be working a LOT lately. She doesn't get home till really late, and then she's tired. I sit with her on the couch and she pets me, but then we usually have to go to bed. Dad stays home with me at night when mom is gone, but he's not as much fun. He doesn't play with me as much as mom does.

Today my Grandpa came and picked me up! He took me to his house, and I got to run around and play in the yard. I didn't want to come home. Dad picked me up later and I made a fuss. I tried to run away from him, but he eventually cornered me and I had to come home. But now mom is home and she is going to play with me for a while.

I really think I don't like this whole "work" thing that my parents do. It kind of stinks. They have also been talking about "moving" a lot lately. I don't know what that means, but I hope that it means I get some grass to run around in of my very own!

I am going to go now so I can play fetch with mom and maybe get some cookies. I hope all my doggie friends are having a good week!
