Arrival Story:
I lost my other dog to a rattle snake bite and went looking for another one after many days of tears...The pound could not put him down because he was so sweet...he'd been there several weeks. He's way too heavy for me to do much with him...my son helps a lot.

Bio:
Dodge is not a guard dog per se...but he will bark at any other animal and did when a snake got on my porch..I could not see it out the window so I peeked my head out the door, and there he was barking at a snake in the corner..His deep and low growls sound like a hungry furocious bear...sacres even me sometimes..:)...He always stays between me and any other dog or animal. He has an eye irration that I can't nor the VET seem to rid him of. I'm hoping the winter months will help that...might be allergies. I rinse them with clear warm water daily sometimes more often.

RAINBOW BRIDGE

I am so sorry to type this, but Dodge, my biggest baby has passed and is waiting for all of us on the Rainbow Bridge. He was up in years, about 14, and the heat here in TX was just too much for him. The VET said his age was conducive to his health. It was next to impossible to find anyone to clip his hair. We did it many times, but not as good as a groomer or VET. He was such a loving dog and did everything you asked of him. I could leave him with children and trusted him. He blessed my heart and gave far more than I could have ever given to him.

Bless you, Dodge...see you in time, baby!

Hair Cut

Finally! I got a hair cut! Boy, was it hot in all the hair...Mom took me to the VET for my hair cut...or shave...and they had to put me to sleep to do that. They say I am too big and heavy and didn't want to hurt me or give me a bad cut if I stayed awake. I gained so much weight too. But, Mom has changed my diet and I am running around the ranch now with Chevy and Lady, so those pounds should come off. I love Mom...she is so good to me. Thanks, Mom!
