Best Tricks:
Just her personality. She let you do whatever was needed, She had complete trust in us. Allowing us to love her.

Arrival Story:
We had just moved to TX, and driving down the rode we saw a Sheltie in the rain, I went to the dog got her in my car, and Held the dog till we located the owner. We fell in love with the breed of dog, and set out to find one for us to join our family. We contacted a breeder, and we ended up with 2 dogs, but one bit my younger daughter, so we returned the 2nd dog. April got her name cause she was born April 1st, she fit in our family so well and we all loved her so much. She had the run of the house and yard, and mainly stayed outside, But she always came inside right before rain or a storm *SMART ONE*. When my daughter was sick April would really be attentive to her, She knew us so well, as we knew her.

Bio:
April would have been 11 years old on April 1, 2005, however she became ill, and not able to walk. We immediately took her to the vet, however, she needed to go on to rest. We were there with her as she will rest in peace. We want her to know that she will be missed. We will always remember her for the fun, sweet, loving dog she was. We love you April, and you rest now. :-)

April was the dog we were looking for. From the day we walked into the Breeders and saw her, We knew she was ment to live with us forever.

We Brought her home on Halloween day of 1999, and she was 5 years old then. She was a blessing to our family. We loved everything she did, her personality shined through in so many little ways.

April liked to be outside alot but always was inside at night and sleeping next to one of us. Only having her for about 2 months, it was time to perpare for Christmas and this was a big event as she was the new addition to our family. We always had gifts under the tree, but found that we had limited space under the tree at Christmas time, Because She made Herself at home under the Christmas tree. Well it was a site to see and she loved it there. I hated taking down the tree as I was taking away her home inside her home. She gave herself to us every Christmas, the best gift we could ask for.

I lived with my Mom and Dad, and 2 kids. I looked after all of them, But my heart sank when I would see one of the kids ill, so to comfort them, I would come inside, Climb up on the couch and let the kids use me as their pillow and this always made them feel better. It was a great way for me to help my Mom and Dad since they were trying to multitask and I know the kids loved when I did this.

When I got sick, my mommy noticed I did not bark and sing along with the lawn mower, blender, etc, I also did not come inside. She came outside to try to get me out of the rain, But instead I walked over to a large puddle and tried to lay down in it. She immediately came and picked me up and carried me inside and dried me off and cleaned me up. She saw my pain and took me to the vet as I was running a fever and I was to weak to walk.
the Doctor ran all kinds of test on me, and Yes, I was not as young as I use to be, I was having problems with my hind legs and hips. The doctor told my Mommy and Daddy that I would have to have a back brace for the remainer of my life to have use of my hind legs. They had to make the hardest choice and sat with me for hours looking at me for what choice to be made. I did not want to sufer and I was hurting. they cried and decided it was best to stay with me and let me go rest. I am now in doggie heaven with no pain and able to look down on my family that loved me unconditionally and gave me a happy life.

Christmas or any day is never the same without April here with us, but we know in spirt, she is always with us, We have Pictures of her all over and She is now with her friends and still able to look over us.

April thank you for choosing us, as we choose you to be part of our family. Because of you our life in Texas is so wonderful. You bring joy to everyone and Keep smiling and loving as you do.

We love you and miss you, Hugs and kisses always to you.

In loving memory and devotion to you.
