Arrival Story:
Winston was rescued through Corgi rescue. He was only two and a half months old when he wiggled his way into my life. He had fleas, worms and major diarrhea when I got him but he is now a healthy, lean, mean, cuteness machine!

Bio:
Right before Memorial Day weekend in May 2011 Winston was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic lymphoma. Despite both natural and pharmaceutical interventions he became weaker and weaker as the weeks went on. It came to the point where he couldn't eat, couldn't really walk, he had neurological symptoms and I couldn't bear to have him suffer any longer. My cousin John came over and we took him to Dove Lewis (a local pet hospital). They had a lovely, comforting room where we were able to take our time saying goodbye. It was the right decision but my heart aches in a way it never has before... I will miss him so much -- his quirky ways, his little obsessions, the soft velvet of his fur, his bright, happy eyes and just his gentle, comforting presence in my life. My sweet, puppy love, I hope wherever you are you are happy and always feel the love mommy has for you, for it will never, ever fade.
