Arrival Story:
This beautiful red lady is Olympia or Oly for short. As you can see, she has striking blue eyes that capture your attention immediately. Oly is three or four years old and weighs about 45 pounds. While Oly does not like it much, she will crate if needed. Oly is now fully house trained and goes outside with her foster brothers very willingly. She is completely healthy in all physical aspects. It's uncertain whether Oly was physically abused or just never had much human interaction. Either way, Oly is sort of "jumpy" around people. Although she is still uncertain about being petted, Oly gives kisses and is now allowing us to pet her. She interacts very well with her three foster brothers by playing and running with them. When Oly wants something, she talks in short barks and yips--not really a woo-wooer. However, she is learning to sing and woo when her brothers start to sound off. It is evident in her eyes and even her behavior that Oly wants so very much to be petted and loved; she just doesn't know how to relax and let that happen. So, little Miss Olympia is going to need some very special people who are patient and willing to work with her to help her learn to trust so she can be completely happy in her entire household pack.
