Arrival Story:
We raise and bred ACD's. Dakota is from our second litter. The day that Dakota and her 2 sisters where 8 weeks old and time to leave the nest, her dad Duke disappeared, so we just had to keep the baby of the bunch.
Bio:
As you can probably see I am a small girl for an ACD, But Nana & PaPa love that about me.. PaPa calls me his little cowgirl because I'm just not scared of anything. As a matter of fact I'll jump of the top of the couch right on top of Dudley and he' three times my size.. One of my main jobs is keeping all the other Kiddo's in line.. (We're all kiddo's because Nana & PaPa don't have any dogs, We're Furr Babies.. Just ask me, I'll tell you). My other main job is waking up PaPa.. Nana lets us all out in the morning and I get my business done quick so I can be the first back in.. She leaves the bedroom door open and I come running through the house, jump in the bed, and give him lots of kisses untill he wakes up then I heard him to the coffee pot ( trust me, he could'nt find it with out me) Cause Nana say's he's a bear till he's had his coffe, not to me though, cause I'm his little cowgirl...Nana say's I'm the only one that can get away with waking him up like that...

I'm very small for a blue heeler, so I get lots of extra attention, so therefore I ain't scared of the bigger dogs, in fact I usually put Dudley in his place.

Papa's on the road again, but where he's staying right now they don't allow furrbabies ( yeah, none of us under stand that either) anyway, he has been gone awhile and couldn't get home to see us ( Papa hates not seeing us ) so Nana decided to go see him and took me and my older sister Deedee up to visit. I had never really been away from home and sure had'nt ever been on a two plus hour truck ride. Deedee has been Papa's traveling companion for a while, so it was no big deal to her, but I wanted to ride in Nana's lap and see every thing. Nana was ok with that till I decided to try and ride beind her head (she didn't like that at all and let me know in short order). Nana said I did relly well after she got me settled down and sister quit hogging up the whole seat ( yeah, she's use to it just being her and Papa). The best part was we didn't know where we were going until we pulled up and saw Papa standing there waiting on us. Boy did we get excited then!! Deedee got so excited she jumped out right over Nana's back and almost knocked Papa down trying to give him kisses. I was a little more cautious about jumping out of the truck ( remeber my first road trip). I was so excited though that I did jump out as soon as nana was out and I had a clear spot. That night I made Deedee sleep in the floor and I slept with Nana and Papa ( that'll teach her to hog the truck seat)
We got to spend the whole weekend with Papa because Nana got a setter to stay with all the others, but me and Deedee are special and we had Papa all to our selves. I sure hate it that the others didn't get to come ( NOT )!!! Sunday Papa took us and drove us around to see all the sights and let me tell you, I like this rideing thing and seeing new things. I know now why Deedee likes to travel with him so much. Nana said I did much better on the ride back home and that she was really proud of how well I did on my first big adventure ( sister didn't hog the seat so much ). I'm already making plans for the next adventure, but don't tell Nana, I don't want her to know how much I really enjoyed it just yet.. I encluded a couple of pics in Papa's new place of me and Deedee.
