A Day in the Life of Little Layla

exciting day yesterday

I had a big day yesterday. First, I turned 9 weeks old. Wowee! I can't believe it! I've been with my mommy and daddy for 3 weeks now. I think I like it here with them! :) Second, I went to the doctor to get my shots. My parents did not warn me about this, but I knew something was up when Daddy came home early and they packed me up in my crate to go somewhere in the afternoon on a weekday. When I got out of the car in the parking lot I got kinda scared, but Mommy held me and I felt better. The doctor's office has all kinds of fun smells in it from all the other doggies, I like that part! The doctor was very nice...he even gave me a treat! Mommy and Daddy told me later that the doctor poked me with a needle in the back of my neck while I was chomping on the treat...that was very sneaky of him! He also weighed me...I am at 3.9lbs now. (I was just 2.2lbs 3 weeks ago.) After the doctor's office, we came home and played a LOT since I was such a good girl at the doctor. I could get used to this!

I'm so excited to be on Dogster! My mommy finally set me up a page and I love it! I've even made some friends already...that's the best part! Well, it's bedtime for me...I've had a long night of playing with Mommy and Daddy. G'night!
