Leave a bone for Rummer Chloe

Pretty Girl, My Best Girl, Mummer (my 4-yrs. old nice cannot pronounce the R letter too well so she calls her Mummer), and Rummerstinky

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:
-dog rescue

I love licking my mom!, being near her ( I am like her shadow), and I love sticking my head out the window when riding in the car (which makes my mom nervous).

When my mom blows the hair on top of my head, and when she leaves. Oh, and when she comes back from work and she doesn't let me jump high to kiss her face.

Favorite Toy:
Nothing in particular but I am fond of a rope toy and my rawhide bone.

Favorite Food:
Anything that Snoopy eats.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere where I can walk and run, especially running after birds.

Best Tricks:
It is not a trick but I can jump really high when I walk through the door.

Arrival Story:
From Mom: "I was on leave in Virginia and was looking at the SPCA webpage and decided to visit the place. Rummer (formerly known as Betty) did not catch my attention when I went to see the dogs. I went home to think it over, and her cute face kept coming to my mind. She was in an awful shape: malnourished, filthy, flea-infested, and so shy, that she would not even come to me when I called her. When the SPCA lady brought her out, she was so nervous that she would flinch when I tried to touch her, and after a while she stood on her hind legs and tried to lick my face. I was in love! Now my other dog is in love with her too."

Forums Motto:
I can get anything if I just jump high.

Visit to The Vet

Today I'm still feeling kind of yucky from my visit to the vet on Tuesday. My mom took me for a double wammie: a teeth cleaning and a surgery to remove a cyst on my neck. My mom was so nervous especially when the vet called her to inform her they were sending the cyst for a biopsy just to make sure because it was just odd. But I know I'll be ok. So like I said, I've been kind of yucky. But my mom is being pampering me so much! She even got me and Snoopy some doggie ice cream treats. Yum! I had to take mine to the living romm, of course. If not snoopy would be on my plate in two seconds. So, I am glad mom is taking care of me. I wish I could show her how much I love her by jumping on her but I tried that and it put a lot of strain on my neck and it hurt! So. Had to stop. But I think she know... :)

I'm Sad

I am really sad because my mommie deployed a few weeks ago. I am staying with my really loving and cool grandparents and although I know they love me, it is not the same. I miss my mommy a lot... I miss sleeping with her, and she letting me give her the "wheaten greeting", and...well, I just miss her. My brother Snoopy misses her but he has been through this before. I could not understand why mommie was crying every night before she deployed, but now I do. She would sit with me on one side and Snoopy on the other, telling us she love us and not to forget her. As if! I know she misses us too and I hope she comes back home soon. Maybe if I ask Santa nicely she will be able to come home for Christmas.

Hot Summer Days

Phew! It sure is hot in NC. The past few days the barometer has gone all the way up to 103 degrees. And I am feeling it. Thank God my mom makes sure I don't get overheated. All this fur makes me hot. I know I sound like a diva, but I just can't handle heat too well. Still sometimes I push it, and want to run, espcially when I am in the soft, plush grass. I just love it! So mommy always makes sure I don't over do it. Snoopy can't handle heat to weel neither. He is older so he starts panting, especially when we have to go up the three flights of stairs. But good things are at the end of the steps: ice cubes!!!! Mom makes sure that we each get our ice cube, of course under her constant supervision. I think she is afraid we will choke. So, I hope the weather gets better because I feel like I am melting.....
