Arrival Story: It was my seventh birthday and i got her as a birthday present. She was the only girl in her litter of puppies.
Bio: Angel is a mix of labradork-er Labrador and border collie. Angel doesn't like other animals trespassing on her territory. Angel has Masticatory Muscle Myositis. This affects the mastication(chewing) muscles in her face and neck. This auto-immune disease can make it hard for a dog to open its mouth and lift its head. The muscle atrophy made Angel's face look sunken-in and you could see the shape of her skull. Ever since she was a puppy angel had a "bump" on her head. It was a sign of the disease. We had Angel on medicine for a while. She continued to have symptoms like not eating, muscle and joint pain, puking and more. She had gotten a virus and that was the original reason for going to the vet. If she never got the virus, we wouldn't have gone to the vet, wouldn't have found the MMM and she would not have made it. She is now off the medication mostly. If she starts having a rough time we give her medicine for a couple days for a boost. Many of her symptoms have gone away but things will never be like they were before she got sick. Now everytime she lays down she makes a grumbling noise. I think it's joint pain. Sometimes she also has trouble walking. She is getting old
