Birthday: January 15th 1997 Arrival Story: Kelsey was my first purebred lab. My husband had his leg amputated and I was depressed so I got Kelsey as an anti-depressant. Not quite what I would recommend since she was a typical labrador destroyer. Bio: I got Kelsey at 5 weeks of age and basically took her everywhere. I had other dogs but she became the baby since she filled such a need for me. She was a typical lab loving water and fetching and hunting for animals on the property. She actually acted like a puppy almost until the day she died. She became lethargic so I took her to the vet where they discovered she had cancer and liver failure. I brought her home and two days later she died. She woke me up in the middle of the night and I petted her and she laid down and died. I was so happy she was at home and we made our peace.
