Sorry guys, it has been a long time! I just wanted to update everyone. It has now been almost 4 years since my first acute episode with IMHA! After the first year, we weaned me off my meds and I relapsed again, but I recovered again!
But after that time, I have been on Prednisone long term (5mg a day, a little). Mom and the Doc didn't want to take chances. I have a bunch of new growths and my arthritis is getting worse (but I'm almost 14!!). But I am still very happy, and I have an 11 year old doggie sister now that we adopted last year!
It has been an emotional and financial rollercoaster, but I am so happy to be alive!!
