Arrival Story:
Chance was a stray dog , I believe someone dumped him when he was about 2 years old. He was a sweet dog that knew how to shake and sit. Someone had called the dog catcher before I could take him in, and he went to the pound and was black listed to be put down. It was apparent the staff there did not like Chows either, stated he was aggressive and this is not a breed for a family. They told me I could not adopt him, so I went over the head person of the fascility, and signed papers stating I knew he was aggressive and they were not liable. I knew he was a sweet dog and they were mean to him. This is where he got his name Chance; since he had a second chance at life. He is the king of his castle and could not ask for a better life.

Bio:
Chance is very protective of his family, he has saved myself & my children a few times from dog attacks, and an attemped break in. He is very intelligent, it is almost likes he understands everything. Chance is also very good at reading people, and if they pass the test he welcomes them to shake and rub his belly.

The Life of Chance

I had surgery today...

I found out that my UTI turned into a bad case of kidney stones and my bladder was the size of a bowling ball when it wasn't supposed to be any bigger than a golf ball. I had 7 kidney stones inside my bladder and one lodged inside my urethra causing blockage. The vets told me and my mommy that I wouldnt live another day without a $4000 surgery because my bladder would burst and the toxins would kill me. It was a miracle I survived a month and a half of excrutiating pain and not being able to pee. But $4000 just wasnt in the cards, especially with the whopping $2000 mommy spent on me when the other vets misdiagnosed me. It was a risky surgery for me due to my age, and possibly toxins in my body and going under anestesia could kill me. We found Dr. Andrix in St Cloud who did the surgery for me for only $1500. The surgery was a success, my mommie and family and friends prayed for me and the doctor said it was a pure miracle I was able to have such a high pain threshold with being such an old guy...my blood tests were suprisingly good due to my age and condition. They don't call me Chance for nothing!! I get to come home tomorrow and be with mommy and family, can't wait! Please continue to pray for my recovery as god really does answer your prayers, as I am living proof! It will be a long recovery process for me since the lining of my bladder is as thick as cardboard from being sick for so long and misdiagnosed. I will be so happy to lift my leg and mark my territory full stream again! Thanks for caring. Woof Woof
