A Message to God
You called home our sweet little girl Maddy today.
Please listen there are a few things I'd like to say.
Lord, she was the most wonderful family pet.
You know, the kind of dog you would never forget.
You'll recognize the little girl, I am sure.
She is a ball of fire, but her heart is so pure.
She will come running through your front gate,
dragging her big toy, so she could be a bit late!
Let her spend time with all the little girls and boys.
I can assure you she will help them search for every toy!
By their side she will run, swim, and play.
She loves to greet everyone in her special way.
She's full of mischief, Yes, I am afraid it is true.
May I suggest, you hide your favorite pair of shoes!
She is such a happy little creature; you'll see.
Giving her so much love was always the key.
Hug our little angel oh so tight.
Please would you let her sleep in your bedroom at night?
There is one more thing I'd like to say before I go
Please tell her, "Her family misses her so".
