Arrival Story:
When Alex was a little puppy, several weeks old, my dad went and bought him from a breeder down the street. He had tight, ebony curls that matched mine, and when I first held him, he tried to hide in my hair because he was so shy. Like most new puppies, Alex howled all night long for the first few days we had him, but as soon as he realized this was his new home, he became the sweetest, friendliest little furball in the world. Now, Alex is the best friend in the world, and despite his small size, he is always my little protector. He always finds a way to get into whatever he shouldn't, and once, he found an orange peel and ate it. Poor Alex had diarrha for a week. Poor me had to clean it up for a week. He will never let anyone get into the house without a serenade of "ferocious" barking, but once he knows the visitor is friendly, he's back to normal. Every afternoon, Alex likes to do his "rounds", meaning, he runs around the house as fast he can until either he runs out of breath or gets distracted.
