Arrival Story:
Penny was rescued from a puppy mill in FL. She weighed 16 pounds at 8 months and nearly died from starvation. As she put on weight in her first foster home, it became evident that something was badly wrong with her right hind leg. That person sought help from rescue, Rockin P Boxer Rescue took her in to our orthopedic specialist and she had a rear knee "built" for her. I was her foster home for the surgery and recovery.....and after three months of crate rest here she'd stolen my heart. I also lost my Dad during that time......I needed Penny more than she needed me, and adopted her in June of 2007.
Bio:
Penny's youth was in her favor with the surgery on her leg.......she runs and leaps with the best of them! She's slowly getting over the abuse she suffered as a puppy and has learned to be a joyful crazy boxer girl. She's very timid with new people, but once she trusts, it's with her whole heart and being. Penny is a wonderful dog!!
