Arrival Story:
Since our young daughter was afraid of dogs, we tried to find a puppy to help her overcome her fear and we chose a Golden Retriever since they are supposed to be so good with kids. We found a breeder nearby and went to see her puppies. They were all adorable, but most of them were already spoken for. A few days later, the breeder called to say that one of the families had returned a puppy because one of their kids was allergic to it and she asked if we wanted to come and see it. We did and when we saw the puppy, our daughter fell in love with her.
Bio:
Emmy was born in Wisconsin and had two hip surgeries, the first one about a year after we got her and the second a couple years after the first. Her hips are fine now, but she may be starting to get arthritis in one of her front legs. However, that won't stop her from running up to meet any person or animal that she sees, jumping to her paws at the word "walk", and wrestling in the family room.

I hurt my paw today. I was taken on a car ride today, and when I jumped out of the car when we got home, I landed on my paw the wrong way. The folks came running to me when they heard my yelps and whines and they gave me some pain killers to help (which they did). Hours later, the pain returned and they took me to the hospital. Thankfully it wasn't broken or sprained, just a bit of arthritis, appearently. I'm walking better now, and should be better on Wednesday or Thursday.

Hi everyone!!
Well, it's about time the folks put me on an account for Dogster. How else can a dog make herself known to the world? So anyway, nothing new is happening around here, exept the kid wants me to learn a few new tricks. I'll give you an update on our progress later. Ooops! Looks like those cats are getting outta hand. Gotta go!!
