The Story of Adam & Eve's Pets
Adam and Eve said, 'Lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day. Now we do not see you any more. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us.'
And God said, I will create a companion for you that will be with you and who will be a reflection of my love for you, so that you will love me even when you cannot see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do, in spite of yourselves.
And God created a new animal to be a companion for Adam and Eve.
And it was a good animal. And God was pleased.
And the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail .
And Adam said, 'Lord, I have already named all the animals in the Kingdom and I cannot think of a name for this new animal.'
And God said, 'I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you, his name will be a reflection of my own name, and you will call him DOG.'
And Dog lived with Adam and Eve and was a companion to them and loved them.
And they were comforted. And God was pleased.
And Dog was content and wagged his tail.

Hi Scruff it's Mommy.....Guess what? Yesterday while I was volunteering at PetCo for the adoption events someone had no choice but to surrender their pet. I brought him home to foster cause he reminded me of you & I kinda think you had something to do with it. There will never be another dog that can replace you but these fosters are sure keeping me busy. I miss you!

Subject: A poem to Scruff
I would like to share this poem with you:
Before I grow too frail and weak...
Before I grow too frail and weak,
And all that's left is peace in sleep,
I know you'll do what must be done,
To end this fight that can't be won.
I don't fear death as humans do,
So let me try to comfort you,
Come: let us take a quiet stroll,
And share some quietness soul to soul.
No need for words 'twixt you and I,
No need to say a last good-bye,
We've grown so close in mind and heart,
It seems so cruel that we must part.
Be sure I sense the pain you'll feel,
Without me walking at your heel,
The days will feel full of despair,
Your sweetheart simply won't be there.
In time the pain will slowly wane,
You'll think of me and smile again,
You'll speak with love and pride of me,
Your extra special S.D.
You will be sad - I understand,
But then don't grief let stay your hand,
For this day more than all the rest,
Your love and friendship stands the test.
We've had so many happy years,
What is to come holds no fears.
Now take me where my needs they'll tend,
And stay with me until the end,
And hold me close and speak to me,
until my eyes no longer see.
Although my tail it's last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Don't grieve so that it must be you
Who has decided this thing to do
We've been so close we two these years
Don't let your heart hold any tears.
The final sound I need to hear,
Is your soft voice upon my ear.
Your loving face will fade and dim,
As the rush of heaven closes in.
Sending love your way

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am ok now. I'm not in pain & my vision is 20/20 again!!!!!I don't want anyone to be sad because I lived a great life for fifteen year's on earth. I ate the best of food, My Mom & Dad bought me the nicest toys & I always had what I needed. I really am having lots of fun here. When you cross the Rainbow Bridge the only thing that changes is your physical being, it's like you are brand new again!.....WooooHoooo I wonder if I can find any kitty cat's to chase!!!!
All the dogs here are healthy running around playing & they all greeted me when I got here. There are toys, treats & chew bones everywhere I LQQK. There are beautiful lakes to swim in & fields of the greenest grass & the most beautiful shade trees to rest under! So to say the least I like it here & I'll keep myself busy until we meet again!
I Love You Forever & Always!
Your Best Friend,
Scruff a.k.a Bubby Boy
