He loved to sleep on top of his mommy's pillow when she slept at night. He also loved this little dog shaped thing that we put in front of our basement door in order to keep the draft out. He would go missing for hours and we'd always find him there.

Pet-Peeves:
He always was upset that he was stuck inside his fence while all his friends ran around him outside.

Favorite Toy:
He had lots, including some squeaky toys, a ball, and socks

Favorite Food:
Anything, he wasn't picky

Favorite Walk:
He was an explorer so he would go anywhere

Best Tricks:
He was really good at playing soccer and we'd play out in the backyard all the time.

Arrival Story:
I was a younger child and had always wanted a dog. I begged and begged my parents for years to let me have one, but it was to no avail. Finally, I was able to talk my mom into it, and so she joined my side and a year or so later my dad finally gave in. Sammy was my first dog, and he was special.

Bio:
Sammy wasn't with us long (only 3 years) but was one of the best dogs you could ask for, except that he wanted to be free. He hated being cage inside of the fence and numerous occasions found ways of squeezing out of it and we'd have to run after him. One fateful night in december, my dad had gone out to get him in his bare feet, and as soon as he opened to fence Sammy ran. My dad ran inside, got his shoes on, and went out after him. Before he got to the street, he heard a slam of breaks and he knew what had happened. He got to him, and picked him up. He was almost gone, and not knowing what was happening and who had hurt him, he bit my dad and then he passed on. It was cold and snowy and we burried him in our backyard. Now, he can forever run free. I miss you!
