Arrival Story:
It's actually an amazing story. We had a farm at one point, and it had been awhile since we'd been down there, so we went down, and when we turned on the water, one of the pipes busted. So, my grandpa had to go down underneath the house in the crawlspace to fix it. There he found her. She was drinking the water from the pipes, and was terrified and wouldn't come out. She came out after 2 hours of having the crawling space "door" open and when she did we grabbed her. There's one thing I have to mention that the "door" is a metal sheet that goes up under the siding, so you have the lift of the siding a bit to get it open. The only way for her to have gotten down there is for someone to have put her there on purpose, probably because they hadn't seen anyone at the house in awhile. After we got her out, she layed their shaking, wet from the water from the pipe. She flinched under our touch. It was easy to see that she had be severely abused. We brought her home and took her to the vet. The doctor couldn't believe what he saw. She had around 300 ticks covering her body, with 50 alone in each ear, and some were as big as quarters. The vet said he has never seen that amount on any dog ever before. He also told us, that left down where she was another day or so, she would have been dead from the ticks. But, the most amazing thing of all, is that she had no major problems such as no broken bones or serious internal injuries (today she has a bladder problem extending from her trauma as a pup but that's all). And we decided to keep her and call her Lucky, because she was one lucky dog and we are lucky to have such a great dog in our lives.

Bio:
She's the best dog on could ever ask for. She's gentle, playful, and very protective. She still has trouble getting used to new people and usually hides from any large groups, Also, she is deathly afraid of water, brooms, vacuum cleaners, hoses, etc. (our gues is anything her old owners use to hit her with). And, she absolutely loves her brothers. She's the mama hen of them.
