I lost my friend, Buddy

I lost my beautiful friend Buddy right before Christmas. He had gone to get fixed and had an allergic reaction to the anesthetia. He died in his Mommy's arms.
Buddy was a joyful little pup that suffered like I did in the puppy mill for most of our lives. We were very fortunate to get rescued and to find loving homes. I went to live with Cathy and Cliff and I had a blast. They taught me so many things and showed me what it was like to be loved for the first time in my life. I will never ever forget spending time with my Mommy in the garden chasing butterflies! It was such fun and I am so grateful no matter how short the time, to know what human love is like. I will be waiting and remembering at the Rainbow Bridge and maybe one day we will all be reunited together again. I realy really hope so.
Love, Buddy

Thank you Suncoast Animal League of Palm Harbor Florida for fighting for me and, after 18 months, setting me free!!! It was a long hard fight but I never, ever have to go back to the puppy mill place in Tarpon Springs, Fl, and I am the happiest girl alive. I don't go back, my sisters and brothers don't go back and neither do my friends the yorkies and maltese!!! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah..read about our story at Suncoastanimalleague.org...............

Mommy is getting ready because September 20th is Puppy Mill Awareness Day..she has made all her posters and is ready to go. Mommy volunteers at Suncoast Animal League in Palm Harbor, Fl. and the wonderful petstore, PetSmart has given us permission to take our "awareness" program there. Mommy has done 3 posters for the event and they are: "Where is My Mama?", "A Life of Misery", "A cost of a puppy from a pet store" and "Shut Down Puppy Mills". There will be a lot of us there and hopefully, we can educate the public and stop this horrible practice!!!!!!!

We sure need your prayers!!!

M Mommy says that the attorney that is fighting us is very high-powered and has gotten off a lot of bad people; even ones that hurt some animals very badly...we are so scared!!
There are over 90 pommies needing help along with yorkies and maltese babies..we can never go back there!! We are such loving and happy babies in all of our foster homes and we can't bear the thought of going back to that puppy mill place. It makes us all want to cry!!!

Can you even imagine?

It's still hard to explain my life before my foster Mommy came and got me. I lived in a puppy mill squeezed into a cage with 8 other dogs. I had to fight everyday just to get some food and water and my belly ached all the time. When Mommy got me, she took me to a doctor and he said that I had been overbred and that is why my insides hurt so much. They can't do an operation on me because I have heart disease because of my rotting teeth. It is so much better here at Mommy's house. I get soft food and love and attention. I even go outside where I had never been before. Sometimes my Mommy cries because of my condition and because she knows my babies have been sold on the internet to unsuspectig buyers. My Mommy doesn't have custody of me yet because that other bad "lady" is fighting but today at court she said that she only wanted the healthy dogs back! Can you imagine that?
My Mommy is so upset..and she would like to ask everyone to please help us because that bad person can't get some of us back. My Mommy volunteers at an animal rescue place and you can see some of the pictures of my former home at www.suncoastanimalleague.net. Please help us!!!!!!
